Peripheral Neuropathy & Chiropractic Care
Why Peripheral Neuropathy Matters
Nerve pain, numbness, and tingling don't have to be part of life.
At Abreu Family Chiropractic I offer an integrated neuropathy program that combines nervous-system focused chiropractic, targeted nerve stimulation, circulation support, and practical self-care — all designed to help your nerves function better and reduce symptoms.
Peripheral neuropathy describes damage or dysfunction in the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord.
Symptoms can include numbness, burning, tingling, weakness, balance issues, and cold feet or hands.
These symptoms affect daily life, sleep, balance, and overall confidence. My goal is to find the root contributors, support nerve recovery, and restore practical function so you feel more like yourself.
Who May Benefit
You might consider a neuropathy consult if you have:
- Persistent numbness, tingling, or burning in your hands or feet
- Balance issues or frequent foot sensitivity
- Ongoing nerve pain that limits activity
- A diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy, post-chemotherapy neuropathy, or idiopathic neuropathy, and you want non-pharmaceutical support
**Note: I do not replace your primary care or specialist team. We coordinate care and work together with your medical providers when needed.
Thorough Neurological Assessment
Detailed history, focused neurologic testing, gait and balance checks, range-of-motion, and sensory mapping to identify the type and distribution of nerve involvement.
Nervous-System Focused Chiropractic Adjustments
Precision adjustments remove mechanical interference and improve spinal alignment. Clearer nerve pathways help the body coordinate repair and function.
Circulation & Tissue Support
Techniques and home strategies that improve local blood flow and tissue health. Better circulation supports nerve healing and reduces discomfort.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
- 30–45 minute evaluation
- Symptom mapping and baseline tests (sensory, reflexes, balance)
- Clear explanation of likely contributors and short-term plan
- If appropriate, a gentle first treatment and easy home exercises
- Written follow-up plan and expected timelines
Most patients see measurable symptom changes in the first 4–8 weeks when care is consistent, though results vary.
**Safety & transparency
We never promise cures. Nerve healing depends on the cause, severity, and overall health. Our treatments are conservative, evidence-informed, and patient-centered. If a case needs advanced medical testing or specialist referral, we’ll guide that process.
